Dear backers of the LifeSaber.
Since completing our initial crowdfunding campaign, I’ve spent a great deal of time interviewing many of the leading product development agencies. The goal has been to find a first class – yet reasonably affordable - team to finalize the design and engineering while sourcing and supervising the subsequent manufacturing of the LifeSaber (including the snap-in modules and other accessories).
I’m extremely pleased to announce a partnership, just initialed, with the Crazy Cap company. Many of you may know them from their successful campaign to bring a truly novel and reliable portable water purifier to the market. Their sales have skyrocketed, and the company has been featured in major news outlets. They were also named an Innovations Awards Finalist at the recent Outdoor Retailer show. The Crazy Cap can be used to sterilize any surface (think airline tray tables) as well as to purify your drinking water.
I initially approached the folks at Crazy about taking on the water purifier module for the LifeSaber. But I soon realized that the company has not only a deep bench of engineering and design talent, but an affiliation with important overseas manufacturers.
As a consequence, we’ve now agreed that Crazy Cap will take on the entirety of the project – including not only the development but also the full production of the LifeSaber.
The first order of business will be to lock-down the final bill of materials, including the all-critical motor/generator at the heart of the device. I’ll have much more to report in my March update.
Meanwhile, I urge you to purchase some of the CrazyCap products. You can save 10% off of your order when you use the discount code: LIFESABER
Thank you for your patience. I look forward to your comments and questions.
